SUN & THE COVID CONNECT

It has been observed that most Covid cases have low vitamin D levels.
Today there is a widespread deficiency in vitamin D levels in most peoplethroughtout the world, even sunny India!

We all need to bring up our vitamin D levels to the normal range, either through exposure to sunlight or through supplements.

Ancient civilization understood the power of the life giving Sun and built magnificent temple to venerate the Sun God.

Sun Dosage: Direct exposure of the hands, face arms, and legs to sunlight 2 – 3 times a week for about 15 – 20 minutes till the skin starts feeling warm, for that’s the trigger for the skin to start producing vitamin D.
Just 6 days of casual sunlight exposure without sunscreen can make up for 49 days of no sunlight exposure (nlm.nih.gov)

Ps : the sunlight through the glass windows is ineffective for the synthesis of vitamin D by the body.

Else if your vitamin D levels are low, please take supplements according to your physician’s advice.
